1. What are your fave shoes?

Anything that’s built for comfort, because I have terrible feet! I love the Vionic brand and the Stella McCartney for Adidas line makes really cool runners that are super-cushiony. Archie’s flip flops are another simple but comfortable choice. If I need to dress up, I have a few pairs of Valentino Rockstuds that always do the trick, but they fail miserably in the comfort department.

2. Tell us a public figure you admire. 

That’s a tough one. I don’t really admire people I don’t personally know since you never truly know what those public figures are like behind closed doors, without their PR machines in play. I admire my grandmother who came to Canada as a war bride in the 1940s after surviving a precarious childhood; I admire my parents who managed to put my brother and me through university with very average salaries; and I admire single parents who are making it work in the toughest economy they’ve probably ever faced.

3. What are you watching/reading/listening to right now? 

I’m always listening to a true crime podcast — RedHanded is my favourite — and I have SIX! The Musical on repeat in the car when I’m not listening to CHUM FM. I’m also completely obsessed with really bad (but oh-so-good) reality TV, like Real Housewives, Below Deck and Love Island.

4. Please share a fashion tip?

Wear what makes you happy! If you like trends and fast fashion, great. If you like timeless classics, go for it. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t wear white after Labour Day or you should “dress your age.”
