I’ve also put together this list of other treats TOTALLY worth a look- perfect for any treasure-seeking peeps - AMAZING treasures for all budgets!

I’ve also put together this list of other treats TOTALLY worth a look- perfect for any treasure-seeking peeps - AMAZING treasures for all budgets!

  1. I think the most special gift is ALWAYS the gift of colour... and this is a very cool colour gift! From one of my fave shops, Present and Correct - colour swatches from 1978 House and Garden magazine.
  2. Giving the gift of colour is always the best idea - this is a true treasure of a paint palette from Beam Paints- all their paints are so incredible and special anything from Beam will always be a fabulous gift!!
  3. Another wonderful colour/paint source is Pigment Tokyo-- their sumi inks are so amazing. It was hard to choose but I selected the Indigo ink for this list- it's just such a beautiful object - it comes in a lovely box and I just love that it's made with natural indigo!!
  4. Speaking of natural indigo, one of my fave gifts to give and keep :) is this lovely indigo mending kit from Handwork Studio. It's just such a precious bundle of indigo dyed fabrics including vintage Japanese cloth- plus thread and trims. So lovely! So handy for small projects and patchwork mending!
  5. There's really no treasure like art. I've been designing new styles for the KAD line and naming them in honour of artists I admire, whose work I LOVE! One of the newest dresses in the KAD AW22 collection is the Shary- for the wonderful Canadian artist Shary Boyle - if you dont know her work, please check it out now. She's a genius! Her gorgeous print is available through NSCAD print shop here.
  6. Another artist whose work I just adore is Marcel Dzama- another Canadian who I think lives in NYC now. His gallery in Berlin published a gorgeous book of his latest work- you can get a signed copy with an original drawing by the artist.
  7. I really love the work of Shuvinai Ashoona- her prints are so spectacular- I love this one a lot! The Craft Ontario shop has an incredible selection of prints from the arctic by Inuit artists, as well as GORGEOUS textile pieces and sculptures too.
  8. No list of Gift Guide treasures would be complete without some bling! Specifically, one-of-a-kind embroidered bling from France! Celeste Mogador makes wild and wonderful brooches - this is my fave!- they are works of art to wear!
  9. More wearable art- incredible super cool sunglasses inspired by Peggy Guggenheim- from the wonderful very inspiring Berlin-based artist, Maryam Keyhani. She also makes the BEST hats!! And her paintings are great too!
  10. I also had to include this incredible treasure-- the most lovely and special Yard-O-Led fountain pen- you can have it engraved to make it that much more of a personal treasure for the treasure-seeker on your list!!!
